Trevon Hector
Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and raised in Houston, Texas, Trevon Hector is a dancer, choreographer, and aspiring dance educator. His journey in dance began at a young age as a praise dancer, where he discovered his newfound love for the arts. And as this early experience continued to ignite a fire, he officially began his formative training at Charles R. Drew’s Badger Dance Company, where he trained in Ballet, Modern, and Contemporary dance styles.
Determined to refine his craft, Trevon attended Houston’s very own Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts under the guidance of Janie Carothers and Courtney Jones. While attending, he received rigorous training in Classical Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and West African, which not only expanded his technical versatility but also deepened his artistic voice and creative vision.
Fueled by his commitment to dance and a desire to inspire future generations, Trevon is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at George Mason University’s School of Dance, led by director Susan Shields. As he continues to develop as a performer and choreographer, Trevon remains dedicated to sharing the power of dance as both an artist and a future educator.
