About Break-In Dance Fest:
Break-In Dance Fest is an annual contemporary dance festival presented by BOOT Dance Project that celebrates the artists shaping the future of dance in Texas.
Created to provide meaningful performance opportunities for choreographers and dancers, the festival brings together artists from across the state to share original work in a professional performance setting. More than a performance, Break-In creates opportunities for connection by inviting choreographers to introduce their work and share insight into the creative process behind each piece.
Now in its second year, Break-In Dance Fest continues BOOT Dance Project's mission of building opportunities for outstanding Texas dancers through performance, education, and community engagement.
Whether you're a longtime dance enthusiast or experiencing contemporary dance for the first time, we invite you to join us in celebrating the creativity, innovation, and artistry of Texas dance.

Our Inaugural Festival
Break-In Dance Fest launched in August 2025 with a sold-out inaugural performance that brought together Texas-based choreographers, engaged audiences, and a room full of possibility. What began as an idea, quickly became a tangible reminder that artists are ready for platforms built on access, transparency, and community.
From artists speaking about their work to post-show connection spaces, the first Break-In set the tone for what this festival stands for: choreography that is bold and intentional.

Break-In Dance Fest Fund
Break-In Dance Fest is dedicated to presenting fresh, innovative choreography and creating a platform for dance artists to showcase their work in Houston. This fund directly supports the production of the festival, ensuring that artists receive the resources they need to bring their work to the stage.
Contributions to the Break-In Dance Fest Fund will be used exclusively for festival expenses, including:
Venue rental and production costs
Artist stipends and performance fees
Technical support (lighting, sound, stage management)
Marketing and audience outreach
Photography & Videography
