RILEY Emler
Riley Emler, born and raised in Houston, Texas has been dancing for 18 years. She grew up training in various styles including ballet, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, and more at Move Dance Family under the direction of Mallorie Marion. Riley’s passion for dancing led her to pursue the dance performance minor at Texas A&M University. Her recent performance credits include American College Dance Association Regionals and Nationals (2025), Texas A&M Dance Program shows including Perpetual Motion (2024, 2025), as well as the Composition and Student Choreography Showcase. She also completed her first year as an apprentice with Social Movement Contemporary Dance Theater under the direction of Elijah Gibson. With SMCDT, she performed in Dance Hunger Action to help raise awareness and funds for the Houston Food Bank. This past semester, Riley has worked closely with Associate Professor and Dean of the dance program at A&M to create a dance short film. With the various training and education from many different people, it inspired Riley to co-choreograph a piece for the first time titled “Unscripted Assumptions” this past semester. Riley hopes to continue performing and choreographing in the future and looks forward to being apart of BOOT Dance Project.
