• Texas-based choreographers and dance artists.

• Current Texas Residents.

• Part-Time Texas Residents.

• Students currently attending school in Texas.

• Independent artists, collectives, and companies.

If Texas is home full time or part time- you are eligible to apply!

• Submitted work must be your own original choreography and may not substantially copy another artist’s material. If you are submitting on behalf of a different choreographer, you must disclose this in your application; Break-In Dance Fest may request verification of performance rights.

• Approximately 5-12 minutes in length.

• Small portable props allowed.

• You may submit a work in progress, but it must be completed by the time of the festival (if chosen, be prepared to provide updates on the progress of the work).

Applications open: Friday, February 20, 2026.

Deadline: Friday, April 3, 2026.

Artist Notified by April 16, 2026.

Break-In Dance Fest is a community driven event. To keep applications free for artists, we ask selected artists to help promote the festival by:

• Sharing on social media.

• Posting flyers at studios or other art spaces.

• Inviting network to attend

• Connecting BOOT Dance Project with potential sponsors or partners.

• Showcase your work in a professionally produced festival at The MATCH in Houston, TX.

• Connect & network with fellow artists and industry leaders.

• Receive a stipend for your participation.

• Share your work with new audiences.

• Paid teaching opportunities.

• Provided photo & videography
