DREW PHIPPS

Drew Phipps, a Houston, Texas native, began her dance training at Move Dance and Fitness under the direction of Mallorie Marion, where she trained extensively in ballet, contemporary, modern, and jazz. She is currently a third-year student at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a B.F.A. in Dance alongside a B.S. in Kinesiology and Health. At UT Austin, Drew is a member of the Dance Repertory Company, where she has had the opportunity to perform works by acclaimed choreographers including Claudia Lavista, Raúl Taméz, Valeria Y. González, Love Muwwakkil, and others.

Beyond her work at the university, Drew has participated in various projects including performances at TEDxUTAustin, Barnstorm Dance Fest in Houston, The Cohen New Works Festival in Austin, and {254}DANCEFEST in Waco with BOOT Dance Project. Dedicated to advancing her craft, she furthered her training by attending the Alvin Ailey Professional Division Summer Intensive in 2024.

Choreographically, Drew has created several works during her time at The University of Texas at Austin. Most recently, she was selected to present her piece "In Your Orbit" at the 2025 American College Dance Association South Central Conference, representing her university. In 2025, she also created "Seeking Solace," collaborating with a composer to develop an original sound score.
